My name is Ertunga Ecir. I was born in 1977 in Kusadası, where I still live. I graduated from the University of Philology, Department of English Language and Litarature.
Since I grew up and have lived all my life in a touristic town, guiding has always been my dream. Very early I understood that it would be the most convenient job for my lifestyle, because I like history, archeology, traveling and meeting different people and cultures, and the most important of everything, I love my country and want to help people see it’s beauty and understand it’s history and culture.
In 1999 I became professional tour guide, with the license issued by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Since then I have worked for many agencies as an independent guide and I have been meeting tourists from all over the world. During this ten years, I have also been organizing private tours, very often for friends of my old guests who had a tour with me and returned to their countries with nice memories. At the end, I decided to create this web site, as the best way to thank people for recommending me to their friends, and to give enough information to those who are interested in visiting Turkey.
I am looking forward to answering your questions, reading your suggestions, comments and critics and hope to welcome you in Turkey.

Hi Ertunga,
Thank you for the wonderful day in Ephesus! My family enjoyed it, and lunch in that villager`s house in Sirince was great! We would definitely like to explore Turkey more, and again with you!
We wish you all the best!
Alex
Ertunga,
Thank you for a fantastic trip to Ephesus- it was the highlight of our trip to Turkey! We also really enjoyed the visit to the cooperative center that makes carpets and ceramic center – interesting and really fun (I loved being able to try making something of my own on the potters wheel!)
Thank you and again!
Kind regards,
Whitney and Mike
My husband Patrick and I felt we just had to comment on the most enjoyable and reasonably priced tour we had of Kusadasi.
We had arrived on the 18th of June with Royal Caribbean. Ertunga was waiting for us at the port with and air-conditioned car, most welcomed in the heat, and his very polite, courteous and safe driver.
We had arranged a private tour because I have difficulty walking for extended periods; well to be honest I have to take a break after only 10-15 minutes. I was concerned that it might present a problem, but Ertunga was most understanding. We had an amazing and relaxing tour of Ephasus. The pace at which Ertunga showed us around was never rushed. His knowledge of the history of that amazing place was very informative and told in a way that was enjoyable and not stuffy. He also gave us time to wander around by ourselves allowing us to soak up the atmosphere. The itinerary for the tour had been chosen by us and included a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary. An amazing place, that gave me an overwhelming feeling of serenity and calmness. We were fortunate enough to be there as the priests celebrated Mass. Of course we could not have visit Turkey without going to a carpet factory, or to be more precise, a Carpet Weaving Cooperative. You can see how the carpets are made; starting with how the silk is extracted from the silk worms to the skill employed by the girls weaving the carpets. We also have a lovely meal, with of course the chance to sample the local wine. A “secret” place I would highly recommend you ask Ertunga to take you to, the top of Ataturk Hill. You will see the most amazing views of the Kusadasi bay and Pigeon Island.

Just to comment on our very enjoyable tour in kusadasi. It was worth every penny! Our guide was prompt and very knowledgeable about all of the sites. Ephesus was certainly one of the highlights of our trip. We would definitely Use this tour company for future visits.
Ertunga,
What a wonder time and a great learning experience we had on your tour. You treated us with the utmost respect and gracefully answered all of our questions. Should anyone have any doubts about booking a private tour with you, let me assure them that they could not be in better hands, have a more knowledgeable guide and such a wonderful time. The meal was wonderful, the stop at the leather factory was beyond our expectations.
Please do not hesitate to give my email address should anyone ask you questions that you feel we could help answer.
All the best to you and if you ever get to the middle of the United States you have 5 different places to visit, with free room and board!

Ertunga-
Dave, Kismet, Larry and I thoroughly enjoyed our day with you…the Temple of Artemis and Ephesus were much more interesting with your insights, but the added treat of exploring the marketplace in Sirince (and the drive to/from) was one of the highlights of our trip…we feel so lucky to have found you and to have spent our one day in Turkey with you…please let us know if you ever need a personal reference for future tours…we’d be glad to provide our opinion to anyone and tell them about our wonderful experience!
Well where does one stop heaping praises on Ertunga! I corresponded with him over 4 months re a 12 night tour of his country. Upon landing at Istanbul airport we were in his hands for the complete 12 night stay.
All the connections were beyond reproach the best; the guides supplied when in Istanbul and Cappadocia you could not ask for any better as they were with us heart and soul when considering us and informing us about their country that they loved so much.
We met up with Ertunga 6 days into our tour; he is charming, knowledgable and very considerate to all your needs and wants, in other words as a person and guide of his country go no further, my wife and I along with a friend will never forget him.
Ask him to show you the UFO I caught on camera at Pamukkale, yes not a fake it was real, cheers Champ. John, Kay, Jan from Aussi

THE BEST TOUR GUIDE EVER
We visited Turkey in late Sept of 2011 for two weeks. We visited 5 areas — Istanbul, Cappadocia, Fethiye, Pamukalle and Ephesus. It was an amazing trip. Ertunga Ecir was our guide for only the last leg of the trip, but he coordinated the whole itinerary and arranged excellent guides for the other areas we visited as well.
I would highly recommend Ertunga as your travel agent and guide without hesitation. He kept to our hotel budget, finding us very good values in each area we visited. He was very good about calling and making sure that we were picked up by drivers and were going to the correct destinations on time. He was very knowledgeable about all areas. More than that, he was extremely nice and welcoming. He brought us to wonderful restaurants and sights and because our schedule was so flexible, he was even able to show us some of the nightlife. We had a blast, and will have great memories that will last forever.
When I began researching our trip, I had found other reviews on Trip Advisor that highly recommended his services. So, I reviewed his website (www.ertungaecir.com) and I contacted him via email to see if he could help me too. He was always prompt about returning emails and answered all questions. We made all arrangements via email. While no trip goes without some hiccups, I would have to say that I cannot think of a single thing that went wrong. I placed a lot of trust in him to make arrangements that we would be happy with, and he did a great job.
Ertunga is genuinely passionate about providing good service and being a great guide. Turkey is an amazing place, and it I am lucky enough to be able to return, Ertunga definitely will be our guide.

Look no elsewhere! Ertunga is certainly one of the best tour guides in Turkey.
He organized our whole 15days trip in Turkey via email. We visited Istanbul, Ephesus,Pamukkale, Fethiye, Antalya and Cappadoccia. In every location Ertunga organised tours with good guides,we had good rooms in every hotel and travelling arrangements where made.
Ertunga was always making sure that we where satisfied, that everything was going right and was always available in case of any problem.
We really enjoyed our day at Ephesus where Ertunga was our guide, he explained everything in detail and gave us enough time to enjoy the places also by ourselves.
All of this was at a very reasonable price, I can definetly recommend Ertunga for your trips to Turkey.
Thanks a lot for the best vacation we have ever had!
Reuben and Jacqueline (Malta)
